ERASMUS – Letter of Motivation Oulu, Finland

Hello, my name is Bernd Verhofstadt and currently an ICT-Electronics student at the Artesis Plantijn University in Antwerp, Belgium.

I’m getting very excited about ERASMUS and hope to be offered a place at Oulu, Finland as part of my final year.

I have never lived abroad therefore this is an opportunity to challenge myself as a student but also to experience living in Finland. I hope to learn more about the culture, educational system, people and other things that will come my way. It will be a great life experience which will be a souvenir for the rest of my life and career.

As I love to travel I’m sure I will visit many other places in Finland and hopefully also find a place to do some scuba diving. I currently coach some children at a local club which of course I will miss and maybe I can do some coaching locally.

I have never visited Finland and after some research I feel next to my studies, the country has great things to offer such as the Northern lights, amazing nature and also the idea to be studying in 1 of northernmost cities in the world is amazing.

After reviewing some recent student papers done by similar students in Finland it only highlights to me the value about Erasmus and studying in a multi-cultural environment.

If you need any more info, I’m at your full disposal to answer your questions and look forward to hearing from you in the near future.

Kind regards
